Action Day

Even if you’ve previously done so, we are once again asking for you to please show your support of all the struggling Independent Venues across the country in need.

Please participate today (Tuesday, August 4th) in our Day of Action.

We are politely pushing Senator Marco Rubio (Chair of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship) and Senator Ben Cardin (Ranking Member of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship) to support Save Our Stages and the Restart Act which will

Please make sure to tag them @MarcoRubio & @SenatorCardin in every tweet along with the #SaveOurStages and #RestartAmerica hashtags.

On instagram their tags are @MarcoRubioFLA & @SenatorCardin.

Here are some graphics you can use in your posts courtesy of the National Independent Venue Association (NIVA), or post whatever you’d like. Just use your voice, we’re all in this together for better or worse so we why not fight for the better.

These spaces are too essential and important to let fall by the wayside due to no fault of their own. Whether we’re talking about a brand new local act, a regional/national act, or a superstar – they all have to practice and hone their skills…and where does this happen? Independent Venues. Without them there’s no community, culture, or local economy.

According to NIVA’s letter “These venues drive significant spending at other businesses, as much as $12 for every dollar spent on a ticket in small music venues to $5 million a month in economic impact from larger regional centers. In cities across America, restaurants, bars, hotels, airports, taxis, and retail shops, our communities will suffer without these significant economic drivers.”.

Please go to SaveOurStages.com to sign and share the letter.

It takes less than 60 seconds to complete.
